Celebrations came early and with a difference this year with
'Christmas in July - Bollywood Style'!!!
What a great night of traditional Indian cuisine including samosas, onion bahjis, various curries from tikka to vindaloo, paratha and naan breads,
and even Indian beer Taj Mahal to wash it down with!
Chef Les looked the part in his Seikh costume, Brian well that Broome suntan sure did last and it was wonderful to see everyone in costume, some of our ladies were lucky enough to borrow some traditional Sari's and the colours were amazing.
The music set the mood, true Indian Bollywood style and Gail lead us all with the dance moves... twist the globe, pat the dog.........and as you will see through the series of pics below and the laughter, we got a bit side tracked.....dancing to twist the dog pat the globe.......
gee guess you just had to be there!!
Thanks to Les for opening up his home and cooking up a feast to remember and complete with managing to arrange true monsoonal weather outside too..!!
There were a few dollars left over after catering to donate to the Anglo-Burmese Association that Caroline and Brian collect for, thanks again everyone for getting into the spirit of the night.
