Well what a wonderful evening! Can't believe it was FREE!
Yes folks the free West Australian Symphony Orchestra concert on Saturday night was terrific! the 8 of us (plus we met up with Anne-Louise briefly) included Joe, Tania, Lyn, Sherry, Jenny, Anne, Shaz and Pete enjoyed ourselves under the stars by the river.

An easy train ride and straight across the road and there we were. Pete & Shaz got there nearly 2 hours before the start time of 7.30pm and the oval was already half full with lots of families and friends enjoying the lovely sunshine and picnic before the entertainment.
Highlights of the night were the concert master Giulio Plotino with the hauntingly beautiful violin piece and the BIG finale the "1812 Overture" which rose to the height of it's crescendo incorporating the choir, the Swan Bells (just adjacent) and the cannons of the 7 Field Battery of the Australian Army Reserve Artillery!
FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC! The night put on a lunar eclipse and we cannot wait til the next concert.
