Weekend Trip To York (Faversham House)

Mine Hosts Nola and Richard ensured we all felt like Lords and Ladies of this grand old Manor.
For those that couldn't make it, you missed out on a great weekend. I hope you can join us next time as we have more events like this planned. Someone is going back to the UK so she will have to watch the site from OS and be with us in spirit. She will be greatly missed. And so say all of us!!!!!
Friday evening, fire’s been lit, Deb’s home made soup is warming.
You can see by the bottles of red on the table we were starting to settle in just nicely!

The courtyard proved to be a fun place in the mornings when we all got up looking at the PJ parade. Afternoons were for sitting in the sun with French bread, pate, camembert and of course a drink of ……
Fabulous Faversham House Dining Room. Breakast included a choice of home made breads and preserves, muesli, wheat bix, and stewed apple and rhubarb and pears,
All washed down with a selection of teas, fresh coffee, orange or apple juice.
For those with a heartier appetite there was a choice of cooked breakfast for an additional charge.
One of our afternoons of exploring stops led us the York Olive Oil Company where we all just had to buy a range of mustards, spices, olives and olive oils of course
