Movies and Dinner, Saturday 24 May

For all those "baby boomers" out there that love their music from the 60's, The Boat That Rocked is a must see movie. It is a fictitious comedy set in Britain during 1966 in an era when the BBC, the only UK mainland licensed radio broadcaster (Manx Radio had already been licensed to serve the Isle of Man), played little more than two hours of any kind of recorded music each week. In the story a pirate station called Radio Rock began broadcasting rock music twenty-four hours a day from a boat anchored off the coast of England in international waters.
It is a very funny flick, the DJ's are some well known faces from some great comedies and best enjoyed for the first time on the big screen to do it justice.

Following the movies we went next door to Bollywood Indian Restaurant in Innaloo.
For those who think Indian food is all hot and burn the roof of your mouth off, it isn't.
They have a very large range of dishes to chose from (add the chilli if you want it hot!!!)
The meals are very reasonably priced, and we will probably do another group visit there as they have vouchers in the new Entertainment Books.

Thank you to Caroline for organising a fun and tasty night!!!
