It was with sadness that we said farewell to one of the group's favourite 'boys' John, who has gone back home to Melbourne to be with his family.Always ready with a smiling face and helping hand....right down to cooking the bbq at his farewell party!!
A great spread as always, thanks to everyone that supplied food and plates etc...and to Brian for hosting the party
It was great to see such a turn out of people, it goes to show how popular John has been with the group (or were they just making sure he was going????????).
Brian played MC and as always had a speech filled of fun and puns....most directed at John of course!
John's speech was short and sweet and a bit emotional for all of us.We've spoken to him since he left and the sherpa jacket from his favourite winery Mongrel Creek in Margaret River is coming in handy during those cold Melbourne Days.
Good luck John, we miss you already mate.
