Another perfect day in paradise!!
The weather sure has been kind to the group lately with our outdoor activities!!
Sunday was no exception, blue skies, warm morning and a friendly group to walk around the bridges with...what else could you want??
Some of us chose to take advantage of the public transport system and catch the train in, hop off at the Esplanade Station, a quick walk over the park and meet at out front of the Bell Tower.
The decision was made to head to the Narrows Bridge and then around to South Perth.
We managed to fend off the wayward runners and bike riders as we meandered
around the path along the river.
As we arrived at South Perth the lure of steaming coffee, hot chocolate and smoothies got the better of us and we stopped in for morning tea!!
Some decided to keep walking the rest of the way around the bridges via the Causeway whilst others took the ferry back to Barrack Street.
Once we all met up again, it was upstairs at Barrack Street jetty to Annalakshmi Restaurant.
For those of you who haven't heard of this eatery it is all run by volunteers and the food is donated and the request is simple: eat what you want if you are hungry, don't overfill your plate and leave any, on the way out the door make a donation for what you feel the meal was worth...what a wonderful philosphy!
Well the food was wonderful and plentiful, rice, lentil curry, zucchini curry, a very unsual raw cabbage dish that we all enjoyed, plus water, juice and tea or coffee!!!
Was great to see Gayle and Noelene return for a second visit, thanks ladies.
And thank you to John for organising another very succeful event.
