Thanks to those that came along Sunday to Jackadder Lake in Woodlands for breakfast.
What a lovely park, nice lake in the centre, pathways around, kids playground, bbq facility, wildlife, lots of trees and lots of white cockatoos!!!!
Brian had a great day and should enter the medley for 'Thong Throwing' and 'Bag Chasing'!!
Yes, Brian thought he would save the group, by aiming thongs in the air

(as most shots missed the trees let alone the birds sitting in them!)
But the group must be the going to be the luckiest people this year (if you are aware of the saying 'if a bird poops on you, it is good luck!), Deb got one on her arm and laughed it off nicely, everyone else thought they missed out....until we packed up, it seems birds have great aim and love bags and backs of chairs!
Oh and in case you are still wondering what 'Bag Chasing' is, the wind was blowing at about a Category 3 most of the morning, one member accidentally dropped a plastic bag and off ran Brian in a galant effort to save the bag from hitting the water (and any harm it might have caused the wildlife).

Yes he caught it (with his foot) and even with some pretty fancy foot work (that even Fred Astaire would have been jealous of!!) was unable to shake off the bag for a while!!
The bbq proved to be popular for breakfast with an assortment of dishes, including croissants, bacon and eggs of course and 'marinated steak', which now leaves Mark with a new nick name 'The Marinator'!! (think Arni's voice when you say it). Please ask Mark all about it next time you see him at an event :-)
Even one of the local birds proved to be another source of amusement as it waddled off into the reids with a childs small thong in its beak...which led to all sorts of jokes such as the bird saying 'this thong is so tough it taste like calimari'!! (mmm, guess you had to be there!)
Again thanks to everyone for making the effort on a windy morning and for coming along to my event, Ciao Aly
